PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and high-performance light source device and a projector by acquiring uniform light intensity distribution on an emission surface by using a multiplexing optical component whose overall length is short.SOLUTION: A light source device and a projector including the light source device are provided, and the light source device includes: a laser module in which a first semiconductor laser and a second semiconductor laser which emits light of a wavelength different from that of the first laser are arranged in such a manner that emission directions are identical and short axis directions of far field patterns of each of the semiconductor lasers substantially coincide; and a multiplexing optical component in which emission light from the laser module enters without being condensed. On the emission surface of the laser module, the first semiconductor laser and the second semiconductor laser are arranged in a line symmetry manner in the short axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
