PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body sway analysis apparatus that is applicable to inpatients in an acute ward and predicts the risk of falling.SOLUTION: A body sway analysis apparatus includes: gravity center coordinate acquisition means for acquiring time series data of gravity center coordinates in the XY plane of a subject in still standing; means for calculating a locus length-related index value using the gravity center coordinates acquired; means for calculating an area-related index value using the gravity center coordinates acquired; and fall prediction evaluation value acquisition means for acquiring an evaluation value for fall prediction of the subject. The fall prediction evaluation value acquisition means calculates the Mahalanobis' generalized distance from a reference value of the preset locus length-related index value and area-related index value concerning the locus length-related index value and area-related index value acquired about the subject in the still standing, and assumes the calculated Mahalanobis' generalized distance as a fall prediction evaluation value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
