PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, its control method, and a program that reduce the occurrence of undesired communication traffic with a relay device.SOLUTION: A communication device (digital camera 1) comprises: a communication unit for communicating with a relay device (smart phone 910) capable of connecting to an external device; an acquisition unit for acquiring execution propriety information on a relay function of the relay device 910 by using the communication unit; and a request unit for requesting the relay device 910 by using the communication unit to start the relay function based on the execution propriety information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
