PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide passengers in a train with useful information without imposing an excess load on a device installed in the train.SOLUTION: An in-train information output device disposed in a train outputs in-train information to passengers in the train. A transmitter disposed in the train sends basic information which contains at least part of the in-train information to handheld information terminals of the passengers. An information provision server is disposed outside the train, and provides relevant information related to the in-train information, in response to a request from any of the handheld information terminals. A handheld information terminal includes a terminal receiver that receives the basic information from the transmitter, a server communicator that transmits a request which contains at least part of the basic information to the information provision server, and receives the relevant information provided by the information provision server, and a terminal display that displays the relevant information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
