PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To array discharge mechanism portions with high density, while satisfying requirements essential for design thereof.SOLUTION: The liquid discharge device comprises a liquid discharge head 4 comprising a plurality of pressure chambers 11 arrayed in two dimensions and a plurality of discharge ports 12 corresponding to the plurality of pressure chambers 12 respectively. When a relative movement direction of a recorded object 1 is set as a x-direction, a direction orthogonal to the relative movement direction is set as a y-direction, a pixel pitch is set as d, and m and n are set respectively as different three or more odd numbers, in a surface on which the discharge ports 12 are arrayed, the plurality of discharge ports 12 are arrayed so that intervals of the discharge ports adjacent in the y-direction make md and nd to be repeated alternately and a plurality of discharge port rows 24 extending approximately linearly in a direction oblique to the x-direction and the y-direction in a xy plane is formed, the discharge port rows 24 are constituted of discharge ports 12 of (m+n)/2, and positions in the y-direction of the discharge ports 12 adjacent on the discharge port rows are displaced by 2d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
