PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draw solution which facilitates concentrating and recycling a dilute solution and has low viscosity and high osmotic pressure, and a forward osmosis water treatment method using the draw solution.SOLUTION: A draw solution contains a water-soluble liquid compound represented by the general formula (1). The draw solution has a lower critical solution temperature in a dilute draw solution state after absorbing water. A forward osmosis water treatment method comprises heating and recycling a dilute draw solution resulting from the draw solution absorbing water from a water-containing supply solution through a semi-permeable membrane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
