PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle radiotherapy apparatus that realizes a certain beam size without dependence on a gantry angle and to provide a tuning method for a beam transport device of the particle radiotherapy apparatus.SOLUTION: As a value of output current from a power source 850 to four-pole electromagnets 571 to 577 in a rotary transport unit 520, a value which is adjusted so that a difference in phase lead between betatron oscillations in X and Y directions perpendicular to a beam traveling direction in the rotary transport device 520 becomes an integral multiple of π is specified. In transporting the beam to an irradiation point 630, a controller 800 controls so that an output current value of the power source 850 is output to the respective four-pole electromagnets 571 to 577, on the basis of the parameter adjusted so that this phase-lead difference becomes the integral multiple of π.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
