PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a firmware version in which a fault is found from operating in an electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: The present invention is a method for managing the firmware of an electronic apparatus system having a server device and a plurality of electronic apparatuses, wherein each electronic apparatus holds one or more versions of firmware, and the firmware management method includes procedures for: transmitting information in which the server device indicates the usability of firmware; determining, on the basis of the information indicating the usability of firmware, whether each electronic apparatus holds the firmware of a usable version; using the firmware of the usable version when each electronic apparatus holds the firmware of the usable version; and disabling some function of the firmware currently in use when each electronic apparatus does not hold the firmware of the usable version.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
