PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict occurrence of paper feed trouble.SOLUTION: A paper feeder comprises: medium stacking means that stacks mediums; medium drawing means that draws the medium; and medium separation means disposed on the upper surface of the medium stacking means and opposite the medium drawing means. If the medium is a bag-like medium composed of a first material to be superposed and a second material to be superposed, the first material to be superposed is placed on the medium stacking means, and the second material to be superposed is stacked under the other. In this case, frictional force between the second material and the medium separation means is rendered weaker than drawing force applied to the second material via the first material on which the medium drawing means abut. Additionally, the frictional force is rendered stronger than drawing force applied to the bag-like medium located below the bag-like medium drawn by the medium drawing means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
