PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule endoscope capable of easily controlling a posture.SOLUTION: A capsule endoscope comprises: a capsule housing 10 having an outer wall surface; an imaging device 14 provided in the capsule housing; a light source 16 provided in the capsule housing; a dielectric layer positioned at an electrode, a water repellent layer, and between the electrode and the water repellent layer; a plurality of electrode structures 20 arranged on the outer wall surface of the capsule housing such that the electrode is positioned on a side of the outer wall surface of the capsule housing; a power source provided in the capsule housing; at least one reference electrode 22 arranged on the outer wall surface of the capsule housing and connected to a reference potential of the power source; and a drive circuit that applies drive voltage to the plurality of electrode structures on the basis of the power source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
