PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic fluid power generation device capable of generating power in simple configuration under an ordinary temperature environment.SOLUTION: The magnetic fluid power generation device includes a drive part which is inserted in a circulation flow passage in which a magnetic fluid is circulated, applies a magnetic field to the magnetic fluid encapsulated in the circulation flow passage and the magnetic fluid is heated, circulated and driven. The magnetic fluid has conductivity, and the magnetic fluid power generation device includes a power generation part that is interposed in the circulation flow passage. The power generation part includes: a power generation side circulation flow passage which communicates with the circulation flow passage, is surrounded by two pairs of passage walls confronting each other over a predetermined length and has a rectangular cross-sectional shape; a magnetic field application part which applies a magnetic field to one of opposite passage walls in a substantially vertical direction; and an electrode plates provided in the other passage wall between the opposite passage walls.
