PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve slag evaluation accuracy.SOLUTION: A slag monitor device comprises: an imaging part 101 for imaging the vicinity of a slag hole 3 from which molten slag exits, and the vicinity of a water face 5H of cooling water where the slag exited from the slag hole 3 falls, and acquires respective images; a ridge line detection part 102 for using a water jet algorithm to the respective images, and detecting a ridge line estimated as a slag falling line; an illuminance information acquisition part 103 for acquiring illumination information from plural detection lines provided in a direction crossing the slag falling line, in a predetermined region of the respective images; and a falling line determination part 104 for determining that the ridge line is the slag falling line, and outputting a number of the slug falling lines in the predetermined region, when illumination difference between the illumination information on a cross point between the ridge line and respective detection lines, and illumination information in the vicinity of the cross point along the respective detection lines is equal to or more than a first threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
