PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve control device which can rear power consumption.SOLUTION: A TCU 10 for controlling a linear solenoid valve 31 comprises: inspection means 52 which makes a prescribed inspection current flow to a solenoid 46; initial time calculation means 53 which calculates an initial time Ts after an issue of a command for making the inspection current flow up to a start of the operation of a spool 45; slowdown determination means 54 which determines that the operation of the spool 45 is dulled when the initial time Ts is not shorter than a prescribed determination time Td; and foreign matter removal means 55 which performs a foreign matter removal operation for operating the spool 45 in order to remove foreign matters between a valve body 44 and the spool 45 when it is determined that the operation of the spool 45 is dulled. By this constitution, it is determined whether or not the operation of the spool 45 is dulled on the basis of the initial time Ts, and the foreign matter removal operation is performed when the existence of the foreign matters is estimated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
