PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that is compact and lightweight, reduces aberration fluctuation during camera shake correction, and has high optical performance, and an imaging apparatus including the zoom lens.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises four or five lens groups as a whole that are, in order from an object side: a positive first lens group G1; a negative second lens group G2; one or two intermediate lens groups including a positive mp lens group; and a positive final lens group disposed closest to an image side in an entire system. The zoom lens performs zooming by changing all the distances between adjacent lens groups. The final lens group includes, in order from the object side, a positive front group, a negative middle group, and a positive rear group. Air distances between the front group, the middle group, and the rear group are constant during zooming and during focusing. The front group has two positive lenses and one negative lens, only the middle group is moved vertically to an optical axis direction to perform camera shake correction, and the rear group has one positive lens and two negative lenses.
