PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image fumarate respiration in cancer cells by labeling with 11C in a short time and to realize imaging by a completely new accumulation mechanism which is different from any imaging agent ever known.SOLUTION: The method for producing 1-11C-fumaric acid includes a process of reacting ethyl 3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborane-2-yl)acrylate and 11C-carbon dioxide produced by a cyclotron in the presence of a copper catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
