PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator capable of controlling the number of recovery works of separated drain.SOLUTION: An oil separator 3 has a housing 3a and an impact material 3b provided in the housing 3a, and introduces oil-containing air into the housing 3a and collides the air with the impact material 3b to separate an oil content from the introduced air and collect the oil content in a drain sump part 3c. The oil separator 3 comprises: a cooling water circulation circuit 40 for heating drain accumulated in the drain sump part 3c; a drain supply hose 30 for connecting the drain sump part 3c to the oil pan 6a of an engine 6 that utilizes the oil; a control valve 30a for opening and closing a flow channel of the drain supply hose 30; and a counter 21 for determining that a delivery condition for delivering the drain accumulated in the drain sump part 3c to the oil pan 6a of the engine 6 is satisfied. The control valve 30a opens the flow channel of the drain supply hose 30 when the counter 21 determines that the delivery condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
