FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for continuous cutting of carbon fiber for making composite carbon-carbon materials used for manufacturing brake disks and pads for aircraft and ground transport. According to the method a section of carbon fiber passing between the blade and feed rollers is subjected to stretching forces on the side of knives. Blades are directed to carbon fiber at an acute angle, its tension promotes penetration of blades in carbon material, and it does not require large clamping force from knife to elastic roller. Lengths of circular arc between the blades of cutting roller and the length of elastic roller circular arc are related as mutually prime numbers. This device is characterised by compactness, simple operation, explosion and fire safety.EFFECT: longer life and higher reliability.3 cl, 4 dwg |
