FIELD: physics, computer engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to motion capturing. An image such as a depth image of a scene may be received, observed, or captured by a device and a model of a user in the image may be generated. The model may then be adjusted to mimic one or more movements of the user. For example, the model may be a skeletal model having joints and bones that may be adjusted into the poses corresponding to the movements of the user in a physical space. A motion capture file of the movement of the user may be generated in real-time based on the adjusted model.
