The present invention relates to an expansion and contraction joint apparatus for a bridge, capable of elastically connecting upper plates of a bridge and discharging a foreign material, comprising: a pair of upper plates disposed to be spaced apart from one another at a predetermined interval between one deck and another deck of a bridge; a lower plate having a width larger than that of the upper plate and stacked on the upper plate to form a receiving space between the upper plates; a load support unit disposed on an upper surface of the upper plate and formed of a link member or a finger member; and an anti-penetration reinforcing plate disposed between the load support unit and the lower plate around to the center of the receiving space in a width direction and having a sloped surface on both edges thereof to have a cross section with a narrow top and a wide bottom. |
