The invention discloses a character inputting method. The method comprises the following steps that: a set top box establishes communication connection with a mobile terminal; the set top box receives a character string code which is transmitted by the mobile terminal; the set top box converts the character string code into corresponding characters, and places the characters in a textbox in which a cursor is positioned currently to form an output displaying interface; and the set top box outputs the output displaying interface to a digital television for displaying the output displaying interface through the digital television. By the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, character input efficiency in the digital television can be improved, and user experiences are improved. |
