Disclosed are a lane departure warning system and a control method thereof. The lane departure warning system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a front camera which photographs the front of a vehicle and generates front image information; a speaker which outputs a departure warning message; a screen on which an image including a user interface object is displayed; a touch detection unit which detects a touch by a user on the screen and generates touch information; and a control unit which recognizes lines on both sides of a driving lane on the basis of the front image information, sets first and second warning lines with respect to the lines, and controls the speaker to output the departure warning message when the vehicle reaches any one of the first and second warning lines. The control unit calculates a touch operation time of the user on the basis of the touch information, and changes the first and the second lines to third and fourth warning lines when the touch operation time is longer than a first reference time. The distance between the third and fourth warning lines can be smaller than the distance between the first and the second warning lines. |
