An electronic device includes a communication module configured to access a first webpage indicated by a first URI, a message acquisition module configured to obtain a message including a second URI that indicates a second webpage and additional information about content on the second webpage, a display module, and a control module configured to compare the first URI and/or a URI linked to an object on the first webpage with the second URI and to control the display module to display at least part of the additional information on the first webpage depending on a result of the comparison.
