摘要 The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery. The negative electrode active material is manufactured by reacting a core including lithium titanate represented by a following chemical formula 1 with a fluorine containing polymer at a temperature of 300&deg;C or above, which reduces a moisture amount within the active material and impeding adsorption of external moisture, so there is no concern regarding the occurrence of a side reaction caused by the moisture. In addition, a stable fluorine-containing coating film formed on a surface of the active material can prevent the loss of a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer. As a result, performances of the battery can be improved and stable performances can be manifested. The chemical formula 1 is Li_xTi_yO_4, wherein 0.8<=x<=1.4, and 1.6<=y<=2.2.
