The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating, or treating allergic disease, containing a leaf bud extract of Triticum aestivum Lamarck as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating, or treating allergic disease, which exhibits superior antiallergic effects. According to the present invention, the composition inhibits infiltration of inflammatory cells and edema induced by allergic reaction, and lowers concentration of interleukin 4 (IL-4), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and immunoglobulin E (IgE) in serum, while suppressing production of IL-4 which is a Th2 cytokine in spleen cells. |
