PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the opening and closing of a shield member with an inexpensive configuration, when controlling the state of a camera by detecting the opening and closing of the shield member openably/closably covering the camera.SOLUTION: A portable information processing device including the camera and a display part includes a sensor for detecting that the shield member openably/closably covering the camera is opened and control means for bringing the camera into an active state, when the sensor detects that the shield member is opened and for bringing the camera into a pause state from the active state, when it is detected that the shield member is closed on the basis of an image captured by the camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
