METHOD FOR COUNTING VISITS TO WEBSITES

A method for counting user visits to websites, which includes pre-registering websites and users on a counting server and subsequently transmitting to the counting server messages from website servers with an identifier of a user who has obtained access to an information resource, and messages from user devices also with a user identifier and with the URL of an information resource to which a user has gained access. The counting server checks the data contained in the messages from the website servers against the data contained in the messages from the user devices in order to identify and subsequently eliminate discrepancies between this data.
