PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an organic electroluminescent element which shows a high light emission efficiency, and which is long in emission lifetime and low in drive voltage; a display device including such an organic electroluminescent element; and a luminaire.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and at least one luminescent layer between the positive and negative electrodes.
