摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 2'-deoxynucleoside (dNS) production method suitable for industrial production.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for producing dNS via 2-deoxyribose (dR) by performing at least one of the following (i), (ii), and (iii): (i) subjecting divalent metal salt of 2-dehydro-3-deoxy gluconic acid (KDG) to decarboxylation response to synthesize dR, and synthesizing dNS using the obtained dR as a reaction intermediate; (ii) synthesizing dR from KDG or a salt thereof using a variant enzyme having dR synthesis ability, and synthesizing dNS using the obtained dR as a reaction intermediate; or (iii) synthesizing 2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate ester (dR5P) from dR using the variant enzyme having dR5P synthesis ability, and synthesizing dNS from the obtained dR5P.SELECTED DRAWING: None
