摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for water electrolysis used for SPWE electrode, which satisfies both high electrolytic efficiency and reduction of noble metal.SOLUTION: Provided is a catalyst for water electrolysis, comprising a support containing tin oxide doped with a 5-valent metal, and active particles containing platinum or iridium. Also provided is a method for producing a catalyst for water electrolysis, comprising steps of: heating under stirring each of platinum acetylacetonate complex Pt(acac)or iridium acetylacetonate complex Ir(acac), or both of Pt(acac)and Ir(acac)with 1,2-hexadecanediol and diphenyl ether; adding oleic acid and oleylamine and heating under stirring the mixture; adding lithium triethylborohydride dropwise and refluxing the mixture; and adding a support containing tin oxide doped with a 5-valent metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
