PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic and preventive agent which has few side effects, is effective in lipid metabolism, and is effective in both lipid metabolism and carbohydrate metabolism; and also to provide a therapeutic and preventive agent having the effect in improvement of hyperlipidemia and/or fatty liver by using in combination with an existing diabetic medicine or lipid-lowering agent.SOLUTION: The invention provides an improving agent for hyperlipidemia and/or fatty liver containing γ linolenic acid or a derivative thereof, where the γ linolenic acid or a derivative thereof is administered at doses of 250-1500 mg/day.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
