PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform removal of air bubbles in a protection layer formation material and levelling of thickness of an electrode within a short time after the protection layer formation material is applied to a surface of an active material layer.SOLUTION: A manufacturing device 15 includes a levelling device 26 that is disposed at a downstream side of an application device 23 and at an upstream side of a drying device 25 in a direction of conveyance of an electrode material 17 and continuously scrapes away a protection layer formation material 24 at a surface side of a layer 24a with passage of the electrode material 17 to make the layer 24a of the protection layer formation material 24 into thickness H2 that is thinner than predetermined thickness H1. After the protection layer formation material 24 is applied to a surface of an active material layer 12, air bubbles in the protection layer formation material 24 are floated on the surface of the layer 24a of the protection layer formation material 24. The protection layer formation material 24 containing air bubbles at the surface side of the layer 24a is continuously scraped away by the levelling device 26. Thus, air bubbles in the protection layer formation material 24 are removed and the thickness of the electrode is levelled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
