Provided is a hair curler for curling hair when styling the hair, configured from: a grip (1) which can be gripped with a hand; a heating pipe (14) which is extended from the grip; a hair curling trunk unit (2) which is fitted over the heating pipe and has a plurality of hairdressing protrusions disposed therearound in a protruding manner; a heater for heating the heating pipe; a means for supplying continuous power to the heater of the heating pipe; and a pressing arm (4) which is attached to the hair curling trunk unit so as to be movable towards and away therefrom in order to clamp and fix the hair against the hair curling trunk unit. The pressing arm (4) has a configuration in which a clamping unit moves up and down in a see-saw manner and clamps and fixes the hair against the hair curling trunk (2). A plurality of flange-shaped protrusions (3) serves as the hairdressing protrusions by being positioned continuously in a fore-aft direction of the hair curling trunk unit with gaps therebetween. A plurality of depressions (8) is disposed on the surface of the pressing arm clamping unit that will make contact with the hair curling trunk unit, and the flange-shaped protrusions would fit into the plurality of depressions during contact. |
