This valve gear comprises: a cam shaft (14) having a cam (12); a rocker shaft (37); and a first rocker arm (52) that swings by being pressed by the cam (12). The valve gear comprises: a return spring member (66) that urges the first rocker arm (52); and a second rocker arm (54) that presses an intake valve or an exhaust valve (9). The valve gear comprises: a first pin hole (63) in the first rocker arm (52); a second pin hole and a third pin hole (82) in the second rocker arm (54); a first switch pin (55); a second switch pin; a third switch pin (57); and a switching mechanism (3) that switches the connected state and the non-connected state of the switch pins. The second rocker arm (54) includes a stopper (78) against which the first rocker arm (52) abuts. When the first rocker arm (52) abuts against the stopper (78), all of the pin holes are located on the same axis. Thus, it is possible to provide a valve gear for an engine in which the switch pins move easily and reliably when the two types of rocker arms are switched between an integrated form and a separated form. |
