Provided is an illumination system that efficiently controls a plurality of illumination devices wirelessly. An illumination system (10) is provided with the following: a plurality of illumination devices (200); and a controller (100) for operating the plurality of illumination devices by user operation through wireless communication. Each of the plurality of illumination devices includes a communication unit (210) that can transmit and receive signals by wireless communication, and a control unit (220) that adjusts the illumination state of the illumination device on the basis of a reception signal received by the communication unit. One of the plurality of illumination devices has a repeater function by which the reception signal received by the communication unit is relayed and transmitted to other illumination devices among the plurality of illumination devices.
