PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing system and photographing method that allow a simple configuration to observe a wide range observation area, using the photographing device loaded to a moving body defining a movement route on one axis, and allow use of a simple process to calculate a location of the moving body from a photographing image.SOLUTION: A movement path (12) allows a movable carriage (10) having a camera (11) loaded to move in one axis direction. The camera (11) has a camera rotation control unit for directing at respective directions of a position recognition pattern (2A) of an observation area (S) and an installation location preliminarily identified. For photographing the location recognition pattern (2A), the camera (11) is rotated in an in-plane orthogonal to the one axis direction to photograph the position recognition pattern (2A). From the photographed position recognition pattern image, a position of the movable carriage (10) can be calculated by a movable carriage position calculation unit calculating the position of the movable carriage (10).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
