PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a device for manufacturing a membrane-catalyst layer assembly, by which an electrolyte membrane can be stuck, by suction, to a suction roller without crease before a coating process regardless of the kind of an electrolyte membrane; and a method for manufacturing such a manufacturing device.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a membrane-catalyst layer assembly comprises the steps of: sending out an electrolyte membrane with a backsheet from an electrolyte membrane-unwinding roller 12; peeling off the backsheet by a peeling roller 11; sticking, to the suction roller 20, the electrolyte membrane with the backsheet peeled off; and coating the electrolyte membrane with a catalyst ink from a coating nozzle 30. The method further comprises the steps of: applying, by a tension-applying part 80, a constant tension to the electrolyte membrane 2 until the electrolyte membrane is stuck to the suction roller 20 after the peeling of the backsheet 6 by the peeling roller 11; and pressing, by a sticking roller 19, the electrolyte membrane 2 against an outer peripheral face of the suction roller 20, whereby the electrolyte membrane is stuck to the suction roller 20 by suction. Thus, the electrolyte membrane 2 can be stuck to the suction roller 20 by suction without crease before a coating process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
