The battery comprises: o a set of rechargeable cells (100) connected together electrically, disposed so as to form at least one tray (101) comprising at least one first face (101a) comprising means of electrical connection (110) between cells, o a thermal regulation and protection device comprising at least: ■ a joint made of a material which is both electrically insulating and heat conducting (120) ; ■ a thermal collector comprising at least one pre-conditioned change of phase material (130) in contact with the joint; said joint being intercalated between the electrical connection means (110) of the first face and the thermal collector (130); o a casing (140) containing at least the set of cells.
