PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which is compact, has a high zoom ratio, corrects especially well for zoom-induced variation of axial chromatic aberration, and offers superior optical performance over an entire zoom range from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises, in order from the object side: a first lens group that is stationary while zooming and has positive refractive power; a second lens group that moves in an optical axis direction while zooming and has negative refractive power; a third lens group that moves in the optical axis direction while zooming and has positive refractive power; a fourth lens group that moves in the optical axis direction while zooming to correct for image plane variation associated with zooming and has negative refractive power; an aperture stop that is stationary while zooming; and a fifth lens group that is stationary while zooming and has positive refractive power. Displacements of the second and third lens groups in a range from the wide-angle end to mid-zoom position are appropriately set. Conditions on magnifications of the second and succeeding lens groups, lens constitution of the second and third lens groups, Abbe numbers and partial dispersion ratios of constituting lens materials, and refractive power are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
