PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine capable of surely improving drying performance and capable of shortening drying time.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine includes: a water tub (2) arranged in an outer case (1); a drum (3); a drive motor (4) for rotationally driving the drum (3); a heat pump unit (13) for heating air; a blower device (11) for circulating air between the drum (3) and the heat pump unit (13); and a control unit (15) for controlling operations of the drive motor (4), the heat pump unit (13) and the blower device (11) and for controlling a series of steps including washing, rinsing, dewatering and drying. In a dewatering step before going into a drying step, the control unit (15) increases the rotation number of the drum (3) by the drive motor (4) to the maximum rotation number, and then lowers it from the maximum rotation number by the predetermined rotation number, and starts the operation of the heat pump unit (13) and the blower device (11).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
