PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and quality stick pet food in which a belt-like meat material has an approximately certain interval, the texture of a core material can be confirmed readily, the meat material is difficult to be peeled off from the core material at least as much as, or more than the conventional ones; and to provide an efficient production method thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a stick pet food in which a meat material is spirally coiled around a core material. The core material is obtained by mixing/kneading raw materials containing a protein, calcium, starch, and others as nutritional components at a given combination ratio, and by subsequently molding into a stick shape and drying. The meat material is obtained by drying an approximately rectangular mince-molded sheet in which meat and/or fish meat mince is put into a molding form to be molded. The meat material is composed by connecting two or more of the dried mince-molded sheets in a longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
