PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel carbazole derivative that has an excellent carrier-transport property and can be suitable to be used as a transport layer or host material of a light-emitting element, and further to provide organic semiconductor material and light-emitting element material each using the carbazole derivative.SOLUTION: A carbazole derivative where a carbazolyl group bonded to an aromatic hydrocarbon could be synthesized. The aromatic hydrocarbon in which the number of carbon atoms is 14 to 70, includes a condensed ring constituted of three rings or more and seven rings or less. In the carbazolyl group, either 2-position or 3-position of carbazole is substituted by 4-position of a dibenzothiophene skeleton or a dibenzofuran skeleton.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
