PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change swirl components which are imparted to intake air by plasma actuators by using a minimum number of power supplies when a plurality of plasma actuators are arranged in different positions in radial directions.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: This internal combustion engine comprises a plasma actuators 20a, 20b and 20c which are arranged in an intake passage at an upstream side of an impeller of a compressor. Each of the plasma actuators has a pair of electrode 21, 22A and a plurality of electrode units 24A including dielectric bodies 23 between a pair of the electrodes. A plurality of the electrode units are aligned in the intake passage in a row in a peripheral direction. The plasma actuators are arranged outside and inside a radial direction of the intake passage, and the electrode density of the plasma actuators 20b, 20c at the inside of the radial direction is set lower than the electrode density of the plasma actuators 20a at the outside of the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
