Provided is an adsorbing material that is resistant to blood adherence, and has a porous structure with a pore volume of at least 0.5 mL/g of pores with a pore size of 1 nm to 10 nm, a surface area of 1000 m2/g to 1500 m2/g, and an outer surface area of at least 150 m2/g. Also provided is a chemokine-, cytokine- and HMGB1-adsorbing device using the adsorbing material, the adsorbing device being a removing device that removes chemokines, cytokines and HMGB1 while suppressing reductions in the concentration of useful constituents in blood.
