The invention relates to an expandable interbody fusion cage (1) to be implanted between a first vertebral body and a second vertebral body of a patient. Said interbody fusion cage includes: - a cage body (2), including an engagement surface (6A) intended to be positioned so as to engage the first vertebral body (4); - an expansion cover (3) mounted on the cage body (2) so as to be able to pivot relative to the engagement surface (6A), said expansion cover (3) including an element (3A) for engaging the second vertebral body (5); and - a means (16) for controlling the angle of the expansion cover (3). Said cage (1) is characterized in that the body (2) includes at least one attachment opening (41) forming an angled hole (42) capable of receiving and guiding, from outside said cage (1), a means for attaching the cage (1) to the first and/or second vertebral body. The invention is of use in the field of surgical implants.
