摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calibrate the accuracy of an image detection part with use of another image detection part.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a first image detection part that detects an image on a transfer sheet having an image formed thereon and conveyed, and a second image detection part that includes a detection part different from that of the first image detection part and detects an image on a transfer sheet having an image formed thereon and conveyed. The image forming apparatus includes a detection part calibration mode for calibrating the first image detection part according to an image detection result obtained by the second image detection part. In the detection part calibration mode, the image forming apparatus changes the transfer sheet conveyance speed at the time of reading an image by the second image detection part to a transfer sheet conveyance speed different from a normal transfer sheet conveyance speed at the time of forming an image and includes a control part for calibrating the first image detection part on the basis of reading results of the first image detection part and the second image detection part for the identical image to improve the accuracy of the image detection part without increasing the number of waste sheets for detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
