摘要 The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The negative electrode active material includes: a core including lithium titanate of a following chemical formula 1; and a coating layer positioned on a surface of the core and including acid anhydride physically adsorbed on the core, thereby inhibiting a battery side reaction and gas generation by effectively adsorbing moisture, formed during an oxidation-reduction reaction, on the surface. In addition, battery performance can be improved. The chemical formula 1 is Li_xTi_yO_4, wherein 0.8<=x<=1.4, and 1.6<=y<=2.2.
