PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength spiral steel pipe pile excellent in earthquake resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a high strength spiral steel pipe pile consisting of a spiral steel pipe made from a hot rolled steel sheet having sheet thickness of 5 mm to 26 mm inclusive. There is provided the high strength spiral steel pipe pile having a composition containing, by mass%, C:over 0.10% and 0.20% or less, Si:0.5% or less, Mn:0.2 to 2.0%, P:0.05% or less, S:0.05% or less, Al:0.10% or less, N:0.01% or less and one or more selected from Nb:0.10% or less, V:0.10% or less, and Ti:0.10% or less with the balance Fe and inevitable impurities, and a structure containing, by volume percentage of 10% or more and less than 50% of a bainitic ferrite phase as a main phase and one or more of a martensite phase, a bainite phase and a perlite phase as a second phase, having low yield ratio and high strength with yield strength in a pipe axis direction YS:450 MPa or more, tensile strength TS:570 MPa or more and yield ratio YR:90% or less and having high toughness with absorption energy vE:27 or more at a test temperature of a Charpy impact test:0°C, the spiral steel pipe pile having excellent earthquake resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
