PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flavor composition that can impart good deliciousness, flavor and salty taste recalling a salty scent of the sea to food and drink, to provide a taste enhancer, to provide a method for enhancing a taste using the taste enhancer, to provide a method for enhancing a feeling of seafood taste and to provide food and drink including the flavor composition and the taste enhancer.SOLUTION: A composition for food and drink includes a flavor composition or a taste enhancer each containing one kind or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a methylthioic acid, a methylthioalkyl acid and a methylthioalkenyl acid each represented by formula (1) and an unsaturated fatty acid. [Ris a 1-4C alkyl chain or a 2-4C alkenyl chain which may have a direct bond or an alkyl group in the side chain].
