摘要 Provided is a field-sequential color liquid crystal display (LCD), and the LCD comprises: a liquid crystal display panel (410) comprising a color filter for a first colored subpixels (4122) and a color filter for a second colored subpixels (4123), and the color field period thereof being divided in sequence into a first sub-color field period and a second sub-color field period; a back light module (420) for providing back light to the liquid crystal display panel (410), the back light comprising a red back light and a cyan back light; the back light module (420) provides one of the two back lights (of the two respective colors) during the first back light period of the first sub-color field period, and provides the other one of the two back lights (of the two respective colors) during the second back light period of the second sub-color field period. Compared with an LCD of the same resolution, the field-sequential color LCD not only has a larger opening ratio and a higher penetration rate, but also enables a high color gamut display, and facilitates narrow frame design while reducing the number of LEDs.
