PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sparger for a filter membrane system in which intermittent air bubble flow is generated even in a case where comparatively successive gas flow is supplied.SOLUTION: There is provided a sparger in which the sparger comprises a housing 12 for collecting gas pocket and a pipe line 22 for releasing a part of gas from a pocket when the pocket reaches sufficient size, optionally a cover covering outlet 24 of the pipe line 22 divides or distributes the released gas, a large sparger 10 comprises a plurality of small units or regions, gas supply change flow ratio according to change in condition of the membrane system for a long period, burst interval of successive air bubble is changed, the gas supplying tubes are respectively communicated with two or more units or regions, having two or more outlets at different height, ejection of gas between two or more units or regions is synchronized, and one or more of combination of units or regions may receive supplement gas having higher flow ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
